New Adobe Creative Cloud Features

Adobe had already presented the new Creative Cloud features at NAB in April; they have since been intergrated into the cloud tools.

Premiere Pro CC

The media-ingest and editing workflow has been accelerated in Premiere Pro CC and Media Encoder CC. With the new media-management feature, users can copy media, edit and transcode during ingest, and generate proxy versions of RAW files, between which they can then switch with a simple click. New VR capabilities have also been added to Premiere Pro, such as the preview mode for stitched spherical media.

After Effects CC

After Effects CC responds faster after the update; the Character Animator in particular has been revised. Puppets can now be created much more easily by having the figures respond to certain movements and triggers with the corresponding animation. Animated figures can, for example, also be given the voices and gestures of real actors. This function was first demonstrated in “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and in an episode of “The Simpsons”. The export functions to Maxon’s Cinema 4D have also been expanded; for example, animated text and shape layers can now be saved directly in C4D file format, and changes to the file are synchronised automatically in After Effects.

Closer Integration with Adobe Stock

Adobe Stock and Creative Cloud Libraries have been linked more closely with Adobe CC so that users can quickly find and licence 4K video content and transfer it to their own workspace with just one click.

The update also added Dropbox support to Premiere Clip and the option of publishing content directly to Twitter, including a watermark.

Audition CC

The new Essential Sound Panel in Audition CC makes it possible to mix and fix audio tracks quickly and easily, with professional results in just one sound panel. It was designed based on the system and look of Premiere Pro’s Lumetri Color Panel.

The functions are already available to all CC subscribers.
