At the animago CONFERENCE 2016, the Rise team explained, even before the theatrical release of “Doctor Strange,” how the effects were created with Houdini, among other things. At FMX 2017, VFX Supervisor Florian Gellinger will again provide insights into the VFX work on the Marvel blockbuster.

Richard the Stork

The first animated feature film in which Rise was involved celebrated its premiere at the Berlinale. In the next DP issue, Supervisor Rayk Schroeder explains how the project was realized. “Richard the Stork,” or “Überflieger – Kleine Vögel, großes Geklapper,” opens in German cinemas on May 11. Further current feature-film projects by the Berlin studio, which recently also opened a location in Munich, are “Fast & Furious 8,” “Renegades” and the film “A Cure for Wellness,” currently showing in cinemas.
