The greatest success to date, however, came at the Nevada International Film Festival. There, the jury honored the production with the award for best film. Wolters naturally thanked his crew, but also the SAE Institute in Berlin, which supported him with equipment and studio facilities.

Feelings Rather Than Story

The short film follows the betrayed Connor, who fights for his relationship in his own dream world even though it has already been lost in reality. Wolters’s primary goal is not to tell a coherent story. Instead, he tries to stage his protagonist’s complex and destructive emotions symbolically.

And quite successfully. The short film “Disceptatio” has been very well received by both critics and audiences. The award for best film at the Nevada International Film Festival is the high point so far.

See for yourself.
