Once the concept was in place, the team filmed live-action fluids; for the perfect shot, Onesize collaborated with artist Susi Sie from Berlin: “We used a laser to cut stencils of the FX and The Strain logos. Susi Sie then applied her artistic liquid tricks, which we filmed at high speed to have full control during the shoot,” explains Onesize Art Director Chris Coopmans.

Postproduction

Back at the Amsterdam studio, the team extracted details from the footage and gave them more depth with 3D effects. Painted textures were then mapped onto the 3D models and everything except the logos was digitally recreated. Onesize packaged all the footage for the client in an episodic package containing promos, teasers, countdowns and interstitial breaks.
