September must have been a stressful month for the developers of the Blender fork Bforartists. After the release of 0.9.3, which was intended to integrate the new features and add-ons from Blender 2.79, there were apparently a few critical bugs. Just one day later, users could download 0.9.4. Barely a week and a half later, 0.9.5 was released. Keyword: showstopper!
What Was Going On at Bforartists?
The release notes provide the answer. Apparently, the Bake Tools had not made it into version 0.9.3. There had also been errors in the integration of the new Blender version. But the development team got stuck in and fixed the problems in a respectable amount of time.
Bforartists offers Blender’s functions with a clearer UI and greater user-friendliness. The software is currently available only for Windows, although versions for Linux and Mac have already been announced. Go to the download here.
