For a year, Quixel has operated the online scan library – now the company has relaunched the site with Megescans 2018. With the update, the site has received a new design, a better overview and improved search functions. When downloading scan packages, you can now also select and download specific components. In total, Megascans currently offers more than 4,000 assets. You can read more about the relaunch here.
Download Free Assets
To download the eleven free scans in total, you must register with Megascans. You will then find the assets, including stones, mushrooms, vegetation, and wood, in the library. Here is the download.
Megascans 2018 Prices
As a user, you can choose between a total of four monthly subscription models: Hobby (€16), Frellancer (€25), Indie Game (€42) and Studio (on request). From Freelancer onwards, you are guaranteed commercial use, as well as 4–8K resolution. The respective subscription models give you points each month, which you can then exchange for scans.
