Kyno 1.5 & Kyno Premium
Now Lesspain Software is not only throwing around a new version of Kyno, but is also letting the big brother into the ring. The new family member Kyno Premium is aimed at all film, TV & broadcast professionals and companies that like to think a little larger – or are simply larger. The strong brother offers more broadcast-format support, integrated file transfer with also integrated subclipping and metadata delivering, network caching and much more.
Good to know here: The trial status, meaning the personal status for test versions, was reset with this release. This means that anyone who wants to test Kyno Premium free of charge first now has the opportunity to do so! Simply register for a new trial HERE.
And Now for the Little Brother
The standard Kyno version of course also has quite a few new features to offer. Particularly important here are batch correction of file timestamps, better FCPX and Premiere integration, and sharing general presets.
Here are the most important features in very rough terms:
- Correction of file timestamps for entire shoots while maintaining time differences between individual clips
- Drag & Drop support (all Final Cut Pro X users raise your hands!), with which clips containing metadata can be transferred to an FCPX event
- Bin structures can be derived automatically and flexibly from folder structures (and now Premiere Pro users raise your hands!)
- New thumbnail column in configurable list view: All technical metadata at a glance & a good visual overview
- And of course the usual fixed errors and stability improvements…
