The software from Agisoft, previously known as Photoscan, has received a new update. It also now runs under the brand-new name Metashape.
Version 1.5 includes, among other things:
- new mesh generation with depth maps
(the new algorithm is supposedly intended to provide significantly higher precision) - Automatic classification of geometry
- a new option for cloud-based processing in addition to the already existing possibilities.
In the standard version of Metashape, this costs you $170.
The Professional Version, however, then becomes somewhat more costly at $3,499.
Anyone who already owns Photoscan 1.4.5 can perform the update at no additional cost.
