The After Effects guru has resurfaced – with a new Crossfire particle effect and information about the new European tour in February. In the tutorial, Andrew shows an (almost) native After Effects workflow. You can see how fonts or logos can be cut up with the help of Set Matte, Box Blur, Pixel Polly, Roughen Edges and the free Saber plug-in, among other things. The whole thing is of course structured so that it can be procedurally applied and adjusted to a respective target layer.
The Video Copilot Live Tour
Anyone who is near Berlin on February 9: That Saturday sees the final stop of the Video Copilot Live Tour in Germany. At the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, the day revolves around motion graphics, science fiction and stylised animation. Andrew Kramer is not alone. With four other well-known artist from the scene, there are practical tips, behind the scenes and more. Alongside Andrew, Moritz Schwind from Entagma, Friendly Robot, Mshprod and Kidmograph are taking part.
