A new project called 3D Model Haven has been announced by the makers behind HDRI Haven and Texture Haven. Thanks to a 10000-dollar grant from Epic Games, Greg Zaal and Cameron Casey are now also working on a library of free 3D assets. The content will focus primarily on assets for environmental design, architectural visualization and game development. According to information on the website, all assets will be fully textured with standard PBR materials and licensed under CC0. As file formats, each 3D model is initially planned as a .blend file and an FBX file. Release is dated for late 2019 to early 2020—anyone who already wants to support the project will find details on the website and the Patreon account.
