HandBrake is a widely used, open-source, cross-platform video transcoder that has found its way into many pipelines since its first release in 2007. The new 1.3 update is now available for Windows (7, 8.1, 10), Mac OS (X 10.11 and later) and Linux (Ubuntu deb) here.
HandBrake 1.3 Release Highlights
Among other additions, the new version contains a new queue interface, new presets for PS4 Pro and Discord, support for Ultra HD Blu-ray discs without copy protection, AV1 decoding support, WebM container support, new updated languages and more. German has now also been added under Windows. Alongside activation of hardware acceleration as standard, files with identical names are now renamed automatically.
