Adobe’s 2020 Character Animator public beta introduced Speech-Aware Animation, which adapted a puppet’s head and eyebrow movements to a voice recording. Other beta features included improved lip synchronisation, limb inverse kinematics and timeline-organisation tools.

Character Animator animated static characters imported from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, driving mouth and facial movement from performance input.
