Jinko Gotoh: Making an Impact

On 1 December 2020, the Animationsinstitut and Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg presented the FMX Spotlight session Jinko Gotoh: Making an Impact.

Women in Animation

Netflix producer and Women in Animation vice-president Jinko Gotoh joined Imke Fehrmann, a WIA member, COO and executive producer at Akkord Film, to discuss how storytellers could support one another and improve collaboration.

Two short films

The programme included María Trénor Colomer’s culturally diverse short Where Were You, addressing everyday violence against women, and Princeton professor Laurence Ralph’s The Torture Letters, created with Jocie Juritz and focused on racial profiling and police violence.
