Małopolska Virtual Museums Publishes Over 1,000 Historical 3D Scans

A collaboration among 40 Polish museums made more than 1,000 scans of historical objects available online, with most offered under Creative Commons licences.

Małopolska’s Virtual Museums

The Małopolska’s Virtual Museums project created more than 1,000 3D scans of historical objects from 40 Polish museums. The collection included sculptures, animals, religious statues, weapons, tools, everyday objects and architectural fragments, covering periods from the twentieth century back to the Byzantine Empire.

Availability

The scans were published through the project’s Sketchfab collection, with most available for download under Creative Commons licences.
