In brief: The Visual Effects Society (VES) announced its latest honorary members, VES Fellows and inductees into the VES Hall of Fame. The new honourees and Hall of Fame members were due to be formally recognised at celebrations later that autumn.
James Cameron, whose credits include Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and computer-graphics pioneer Gary Demos, known for work including The Last Starfighter and Futureworld, were named honorary members.
The new VES Fellows were Brooke Breton, whose career included Star Trek IV and Star Trek VI and contributions to the formation of Digital Domain and DreamWorks Animation; Mike Chambers, whose credits included Tenet, The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk; Van Ling, known for Men in Black, Starship Troopers and Titanic; and Nancy St. John, whose work included Gladiator, Babe and Men in Black 3.
