In brief: Environment artist Michael Dunnam released XMD Toolbox 3.0, a toolkit for browsing and filtering ZBrush brushes, alphas and layouts.

Features: Version 3.0 added tools for organising render presets, grids, spotlights and ArrayMeshes. Users could synchronise the toolbox interface colours with ZBrush, load macros with one click, download XMD brushes from the Source Store, save ZBrush assets from any location, create custom categories and tag brushes. As noted in Digital Production’s ZBrush 2022 report, the toolbox could also be accessed directly inside ZBrush.

Availability: XMD Toolbox 3.0 was available as a free download, with an optional paid edition.

The toolkit was distributed through the XMD Source website. Digital Production previously covered XMD Toolbox 2.0.
