From the Animago archive
This Animago Afternoon revisits “None of That”, an award-winning animated short created at Ringling College of Art and Design by Isabela Littger, Anna Hinds Paddock and Kriti Kaur. The production spent roughly a year and a half in development and used ZBrush, Maya, 3DCoat, Nuke and RenderMan.
Censorship played as physical comedy
The film approaches censorship without turning into a lecture. During a night patrol, a museum guard encounters a nun moving with the agility of a ninja and covering the exposed parts of classical statues. Stopping her increasingly athletic intervention demands the guard’s full commitment.
The compact comedy uses an absurd chase to explore the tension between artistic freedom and what institutions consider acceptable to display.
