Reallusion Joins Blender Development Fund

Reallusion becomes a Corporate Silver partner and outlines Blender links for selective character updates, live iClone data and Rigify.

In brief: Reallusion joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Silver partner.

Planned pipeline features:

  • Round-trip character design: Updating modified character items without transferring the complete character again.
  • iClone Blender Data Link: Streaming iClone animation into Blender’s viewport in real time.
  • Blender Meta-rig assignment: Automatically mapping a Rigify meta-rig when importing an iClone character.

Development Fund context: Corporate contributions supported Blender feature development, bug fixes and DCC visibility. Other participating companies included Apple, Adobe, AMD, Facebook, Microsoft and Unity.

Existing integration: Reallusion’s Blender Character Pipeline connected iClone, Character Creator and Blender. Related tools included Blender CC3Tools, Hair Tool, Auto-Rig Pro, RigiMap and the iClone 7 Omniverse Connector.
