In nuce: Luxion releases Keyshot 11 – the latest version of its rendering and animation software. The main innovations are in the areas of 3D painting, physics games and CMF management (Colour Material Finish).
New features: Luxion is promoting the Rigid Body Dynamics system as one of the killer features. According to Luxion, this system was also used for the sneak peak video below. Luxion goes on to say that with Keyshot 11 you can animate falling, gliding and jumping objects completely in KeyShot. However, there is one limitation: you will not be able to animate soft body dynamics.
Other new features include, as mentioned at the beginning, a new 3D painting system, CMF management (Colour Material Finish) and a new KeyShot web viewer with which you can publish KeyShot files online. The web viewer is only available to users of the Pro Edition and above.

New sales model: With the release of KeyShot 11 in February 2022, new customers will purchase the software licence as a subscription. The entry-level version called KeyShot HD will be replaced by the new subscription-based KeyShot Personal Edition. Luxion will therefore be focussing on the subscription model in future when it comes to selling its Keyshot software.
The end of perpetual licences: Luxion is therefore ending the sale of perpetual licences. Perpetual licences that are already running will continue to exist – access to such content, which is exclusively intended for subscription users, will be denied. This includes, for example, the KeyShot web viewer mentioned above.
