Adobe finishes buying Topaz Labs

Adobe has finished buying Topaz Labs. The apps stay standalone, while the AI heads deeper into Creative Cloud. Nobody panic. Yet.

Adobe has completed its acquisition of Topaz Labs, following the deal announced in June. Topaz remains a standalone brand, its apps and models remain available separately, and CEO Eric Yang joins Adobe’s Digital Video and Audio team. So yes, the word “standalone” survived the closing paperwork.

Topaz technology is already available through Firefly and Photoshop, with more Adobe workflows planned. Neurostream can process models locally or through Topaz’s cloud. In practical terms, that could mean fewer export, enhance, reimport rituals, assuming integration behaves itself.
