ReelDVD 2.0 More DVD authoring for less money

Despite the extended range of functions, the second generation of Daikin’s professional DVD authoring software has been significantly reduced in price

ReelDVD has successfully found its place in the market in recent months – more and more DVD videos from industry, art and entertainment are being created with the professional DVD authoring software ReelDVD from Daikin.

Version 2.0 is the first update of ReelDVD. In addition to a revised manual and new tutorials, ReelDVD 2.0 also includes the latest version of NTI CD Maker 2000, which can be used to write not only normal audio and data CDs but also mini-DVDs on CD-R and CD-RW media. In view of the fact that the first standalone consumer DVD players capable of playing mini-DVDs have recently been released, this is an interesting feature!

ReelDVD 2.0 now also writes finished DVD images directly to a connected DLT tape drive, which enables the creation of masters for DVD replication directly from the software.

Photoshop files can now also be imported with separate layers and used to create overlay menus. Together with the new ability to have menu entries jump immediately to freely definable chapter points of an AV stream, this makes it possible to create appealing and fast navigation environments for DVD-Video titles with ReelDVD 2.0.

An equally innovative feature is the ability to place the player software required to play a DVD directly on the burnt or replicated DVD. With full support for the 16:9 format, ReelDVD is a comprehensive DVD authoring software in the price range of less than € 1250 (plus VAT).

ReelDVD 2.0 is now available. For the last time, all users of ReelDVD 1.0 are entitled to a free upgrade of the software and will be notified automatically, provided they have registered correctly.
