Twenty years after the original Tron film, Disney Interactive presented Monolith’s PC action game Tron 2.0 at ECTS. Release was planned for spring 2003.

Monolith, known for No One Lives Forever and Aliens versus Predator 2, brought back original concept designer Syd Mead. The game used Monolith’s LithTech Triton engine.

The story followed Alan Bradley’s son Jet after his father disappeared for refusing to disclose secret information. Jet entered a supercomputer to rescue him and expose the conspiracy.

Gameplay combined disc battles, light-cycle races, digital weapons, shields and gadgets across 35 levels. A team-based multiplayer mode supported up to 32 players.

The title is part of Digital Production’s game-development and 3D-animation archive.
