Toronto, 29 October 2002. Alias|Wavefront announced the fourth annual 3December event for 3 December 2002, sponsored by HP, Intel and ATI.
Seven host cities—New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, London, Paris, Seoul and Tokyo—planned guest speakers, technology demonstrations, Maya Master classes, a 3D Pub and hands-on access to production tools.
The free events were intended to connect computer-graphics and industrial-design professionals and students. Sponsors highlighted the combination of Intel-powered HP workstations, ATI graphics and Maya software as a production pipeline.
Additional Maya Master classes were planned for intermediate and advanced users in Europe, Asia and North America. Alias|Wavefront later became part of Autodesk. The event is part of the Maya archive.
