Avid launched a year-end Step-Up promotion for Xpress DV 3.5. Until 31 December 2002, owners of eligible competing editing systems could receive a credit when purchasing the Base or PowerPack edition.
The Base edition was advertised at €1,900 excluding VAT after a €500 credit. The PowerPack was listed at €2,700 excluding VAT after a €700 credit. Both editions ran on Windows XP and Mac OS X and included more than 100 real-time effects plus colour-correction tools.
The PowerPack additionally included the Avid Filmmaker’s Toolkit, stabilisation tools and software from Boris FX. Eligible systems included Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Canopus, Digital Origin, Discreet, Matrox RT.X, Pinnacle and Media 100 products.
