Roxio entered a worldwide partnership with Freecom and became the exclusive software partner for Freecom’s full range of CD and DVD burners. New Freecom drives were to include Roxio’s Easy CD Creator SE or Toast Lite burning software.
In Europe, Freecom had recently introduced the Portable II DVD+RW/+R bundled with Easy CD Creator and Toast at a recommended retail price of €559. The package combined the portable hardware with disc-authoring software for Windows and Macintosh workflows.
