The Audiotrak XP MIDI Mate was a compact 16-channel USB MIDI interface with one input and one output. It worked with Windows XP and Mac OS X and could complement Audiotrak’s USB audio-interface range or operate alongside any PCI sound card.
No separate driver installation was required. The interface used the standard MIDI driver included with Windows XP or Mac OS X, which loaded automatically when the device was connected to USB. Its small format fitted into a notebook bag and targeted users seeking dependable MIDI timing at a comparatively low price.
