Avid announced a spring event series addressing HD material in post-production. It opened with HDTV Days in Hanover, where partner Videokonzept planned two-hour demonstrations of Avid DS HD on 27 and 28 March 2003.
At the Leipzig Media Spring, Avid planned demonstrations on 28 and 29 March focused on DS HD compositing. An editors’ meeting with reseller dimedia followed in Munich on 24 April. FMX in Stuttgart, from 2 to 4 May, would present recent productions completed on the system.
At the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen on 5 May, Avid was due to discuss HD workflows in theory and practice. A two-day Hanover workshop on 6 and 7 May, organised by Nordmedia and RMC-Rinke, would cover current HD developments, material handling, editing and compositing.
