Camera remote-control systems: at NAB, Vinten is introducing AutoCam controllers from the new 200 series plus the software-based PCS﷓125 controller. Because of their scalable architecture, the 200-series controllers can control an unlimited number of cameras. Multi-users can thus operate pedestals, pan/tilt heads, lifting and travelling equipment. The Windows-based user interface is built on the TCP/IP network architecture. The new PCS﷓125 controller is a mobile one-camera controller that can run software-based on any Window computer. The camera, lens and movements are controlled via an RS﷓422/232 standard communications protocol.
