Licensee Imagine can use the agreement to offer MPEG-4 aacPlus solutions for Texas Instruments digital signal processors. Working from Coding Technologies source code and in cooperation with the Nuremberg audio-coding specialists, Imagine began developing a range of tested aacPlus software implementations for TI fixed-point and floating-point DSPs. Discussions with prospective customers for DSPs equipped with MPEG-4 aacPlus were already under way. The first products were scheduled to reach the market in the second and third quarters of 2003.
