For the Danish television and cinema teaser and 22 different trailers, the team had to adapt the 5.1 surround sound and combine title sequences created in Illustrator and Photoshop with the US footage. Integration of the Adobe applications with the 844/X system allowed the Danish text and additional effects to be processed directly in the timeline for real-time finishing. The Media 100 system’s copy function proved efficient when producing the 22 trailers because complete layers and scenes could be transferred from one spot to the next. JBPP editor Jöran Maaswinkel was particularly impressed by the speed of production with the 844/X: “The speed of the GenesisEngine and the ability to work with multiple layers accelerated the production process enormously. Before using the 844/X, we wasted hours waiting for the results of intensive rendering sessions.” The system also made the audio tracks faster and easier to create.
