Game design with Ernest W. Adams

Producer and author Ernest W. Adams was scheduled to present and discuss his ideas on game design on 30 July 2003. Adams was known for producing the successful John Madden Football series for Electronic Arts and for work connected with Bullfrog.

Vertex programming workshop

Wolfgang Engel was due to lead a five-day workshop from 28 July to 1 August. The course covered the fundamentals of vertex programming, demonstrated specialist tools and discussed practical techniques. Vertices define points in virtual 3D space and were a core element of contemporary 3D-game programming. Workshop participants could also attend Adams’s session.
