MainConcept AG, an Aachen-based software company specialising in codec technologies and multimedia applications, announced that MainConcept software codecs will be integrated as major features in new products from Adobe Systems Incorporated.
Adobe Premiere Pro, described as the most significant upgrade to the award-winning video-editing software since its introduction in 1991, incorporates current MainConcept MPEG encoding and decoding technology.
The application will also include the established MainConcept DV codec, which provides high quality and speed as well as YUV processing.
The new professional DVD-authoring application Adobe Encore DVD will likewise include the MainConcept MPEG encoder and decoder, together with extensive Premiere Pro integration.
For example, users can place markers directly in the Premiere Pro timeline for use as chapter points in Encore DVD.
