TWI Interactive introduced ICF Workgroup Edition at IBC 2003 in Amsterdam. The system targets broadcasters, publishers and new-media providers producing and distributing electronic content.
The turnkey platform handles real-time ingest, production, management and distribution across conventional and interactive television, broadband and mobile networks.
TWI says the system requires no on-site customisation and can bring new services online within days rather than months. Its package price includes hardware, software, training and support.
ICF Workgroup Edition uses Windows Media Audio and Video 9 for desktop proxy logging and pre-editing. The workflow provides an ICF Video Server based on Matrox DigiSuite with real-time Windows Media 9 proxy generation, desktop proxy logging and pre-editing, real-time craft editing, digital syndication with video and metadata transcoding, integrated media and rights asset management, and workflow management.
The system integrates technology from HP, Microsoft, Ciprico, Matrox, Incite and Telestream. Existing customers include sports-rights organisations and Mobix, a content provider for The Open Championship, Wimbledon, and mobile and broadband networks.
ICF Enterprise Edition is also available for customers requiring consulting, custom configuration and integration with existing systems.
