Profound Effects has introduced CameraPOV 1.0, a plug-in package that simulates views based on eight camera types.
The set provides four still-camera perspectives, covering high-end, mid-range, old and digital SLR cameras, plus four video-camera views: consumer camcorder, high-end camcorder, security camera and night-vision camera.
CameraPOV supports Final Cut Pro 3.x and 4.0, After Effects 5.5 and later, Combustion 3.0, Digital Fusion 4.0, and several Avid editing systems.
The package costs 149 US dollars for After Effects and compatible applications, including Digital Fusion, Final Cut Pro and Combustion. The AVX edition for Avid systems costs 199 US dollars.
