The program is easy to use and contains a range of new materials, from textured plastic to leather. Thanks to improved performance and new data organization tools, even complex models can be rendered quickly. Interactive rendering allows the user to fine-tune materials and environments precisely, making it easy to implement the desired result. ImageStudio 2 supports both the STEP file format as well as IGES and is therefore compatible with almost every 3D application, including CAD software such as Pro/Engineer or SolidWorks. The Alias program costs 1,499 US dollars and runs on Windows XP and Windows 2000.
