The manufacturer says ML|Production Kit was developed by animation professionals for animation professionals and is available now. Unlike other project or asset-management tools, communication and processes such as final approval can span multiple companies. The web-based software controls these workflows, routes information automatically to the appropriate person and archives it for later analysis. It reports the current state of individual processes and the entire project on demand. Modules provide printable progress reports and analysis for deadlines, budgets, resources and production status. Production feedback can be passed to artists, while communication between teams takes place in the forum. Internet transactions are protected with SSL, the technology also used for online banking. ML|Production Kit runs on a SQL database and Windows IIS web server.
Missing Link Software Solutions offers project-specific packages. ML|Production Kit is available either for purchase or rental. Depending on configuration, rental costs €50 to €100 per client licence per month, with the project hosted on Missing Link’s central server.
