The entry model stores 66 minutes of 1080p25 HD or 330 minutes of 625i50 SD, costs €15,000 and is available now. The package includes:

– Direct recording to the file system.

– RS-422 master and slave control.

DVC is also announcing the new ClipRecorder XTreme flagship. It uses new XENA 2 uncompressed multistandard I/O boards, successors to Kona 2. Every ClipRecorder XTreme therefore provides dual-link HD plus 8-bit or 10-bit HD and SD inputs and outputs for 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 recording. A 12-bit D/A analogue component output is also included. The XENA 2 I/O channel supports hardware conversion between HD and SD.

The new server platform accepts multiple XENA I/O boards for true multistandard, multichannel operation. Other specifications include dual Xeon processors at 3.2 to 3.6 GHz, up to 16 GB of RAM and high-end PCI Express graphics. The SCSI disk array expands to 6 TB, with a quad Fibre Channel controller offered for SAN connection. Drastic MediaReactor file conversion, transcoding and encoding software and IRIDAS FrameCycler Player are included.
