After ten years in the Hammerbrook district, SAE Institute Hamburg is moving its location to St. Pauli: Following extensive renovation work, the training provider has now moved into larger premises in the “Media Bunker” on Feldstraße, which include seminar rooms as well as numerous studios for audio production.
Around 300 students are to be trained there this year in the fields of audio engineering, Creative Media and film. SAE Institute Hamburg sees itself as Northern Germany’s most modern media training institute. As part of the opening ceremony, SAE founder Tom Misner emphasized the practice-oriented training that would be provided by the company’s German branches. “The big secret of SAE is that our students can work afterwards,” Misner explained.
Representatives of the Hamburg Senate and the business community pointed to the importance of high-quality training for the growth of the media industry. “The challenges that technical development poses for continuing education in the media field cannot be covered by public providers alone,” postulated Arndt Groth, President of the German Association for the Digital Economy.
