Both the graphic background and the video signal recorded by HD camera are available at the maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Recording is carried out mainly with HD equipment from Sony (camcorder, MAZ, mixer, monitors) and the Vizrt real-time rendering system. Applications from Avid (video), Apple (graphics) and Digidesign (audio), among others, are available for post-production. “With the virtual HD set, Plazamedia is the first TV production company in Germany to offer its customers fascinating perspectives: the possibilities of a virtual studio combined with the brilliant picture quality of High-Definition Television,” explains Florian Nowosad, Chairman of Plazamedia’s management board.
As additional assistance for entering HD, the full-service provider is extending its HD campaign weeks: Until May 15, 2005, the company is offering packages for documentaries, reports, shooting and post-production in HD at “attractive prices.”
