Until now, the uncompressed video signal recorded with the Viper camera could only be recorded using external recorders. Thomson’s Venom FlashPak now changes that: The flash memory recorder is reminiscent of a film magazine and, like one, is mounted on top of the camera. With a capacity of around 120 GByte, it offers a recording time of 10 minutes of uncompressed video in 4:4:4. Remote operation allows flexible use of the camera. More than 40 of the Vipers manufactured in Breda (Netherlands) are currently in use worldwide, 15 of them in Europe.
