With many powerful and dynamic features such as the Vanishing Point tool, Photoshop CS2 opens up new creative possibilities: Users can copy, draw and transform image objects while the perspective of the image is retained. The new Warp tool can be used to twist, stretch, pull or bend graphics. A wide range of tools and functions targets common photographic problems. These include the Spot Healing Brush for correcting blemishes, the Red Eye tool, Lens Correction, Smart Sharpen and the “Reduce Noise” function. “Smart Objects” technology allows the user to scale and transform images and vector graphics without loss of quality. It can also be used to create linked copies of embedded vector graphics. In a single editing step, all copies are thus updated simultaneously.
Film, TV and video professionals who render images and compositions in 3D benefit from the new 32-bit High Dynamic Range feature for the flexible creation and editing of such content. The new FireWire Preview export feature makes it possible to view projects in real time as a video preview on a video monitor and saves valuable time during creation and rendering.
Adobe Bridge: Control Centre for Productivity, Image Processing and Creativity
The popular file browser is now a separate application: Adobe Bridge functions as a control centre for productivity, image processing and creativity. For file management, the browser provides various viewing options for all individual Adobe CS2 products. The Photoshop CS2 user interface can now be adapted to users’ needs. Preset workspaces depending on the task make it easier to access important functions. Personal presets also simplify frequent procedures in the workflow. Multiple layers in one file can now be selected and changed simultaneously. In addition, the Camera Raw 3.0 workflow enables photographers to process multiple raw files simultaneously in the background without interrupting creative work in Photoshop CS2.
Availability
The German-language version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Mac OS X 10.2.8 to 10.3.8 and Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or 4 or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2 is available in stores now. Adobe Photoshop CS2 is also a component of Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Adobe Video Collection 2.5 Professional, which are also available now in German.
