Eyeon Ships DFX+ 5

Official shipping begins today for the new compositing tool

After five years of development and four previous releases, Eyeon Software is now shipping version 5 of its DFX+ compositing program. It is based on the Fusion architecture and is intended for motion graphics, effects and animation pipelines.

Among the many features in DFX+ 5 are 3D integration and support for 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave and Softimage XSI; an integrated particle system; motion graphics; waveform, vectorscope and 3D histogram displays; and bins that can be shared and edited over a network. A stroke-based vector paint program is also included.

Digital Production covered Eyeon Fusion 5 in detail in issue 06:05, including its new 3D workspace.
