Apple is making a new update for Final Cut Pro 5 available for download on its website. However, the manufacturer leaves largely open which problems the 85 MByte download fixes or which improvements it brings – it speaks only before an “improved reliability.”
Requirements for the update to version 5.0.4 are a G4 Mac with 500 MHz (G4 PowerBook: 550 MHz) or a G5 Mac with at least 512 MByte RAM as well as an AGP or PCI-E graphics card. To be able to work in HD, a 1-GHz Mac with at least 1 GByte RAM is required.
