The Ilmenau University of Technology has advertised a full professorship at the Institute of Media and Communication Science (IfMK) to research the conception, use, marketing and effects of digital games.

Until March 15 of this year, candidates can apply who are capable of linking the necessary social-science, technical and economic competencies with one another in an interdisciplinary manner in order to do justice to the complexity of digital games.

TU Ilmenau is thus taking account of the increased economic and social importance of the games sector. In teaching, the professorship will train students in the bilingual (English-German) master’s degree program “Communication and Media Studies” as well as in the bachelor’s degree program “Applied Media Studies.”
