Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF)
The Tokyo Anime Award is presented as part of the trade fair for animated films (TAF). In contrast to the “Commercial Animated Films” category, the second, “Open Category” (divided into the “General” and “Students” subcategories), is open to worldwide entries that were not publised for commercial purposes. The Grand Prix – one of four awards in total – is endowed with prize money equivalent to around 7,300 euros.
