After Vizrt has almost completed the acquisition of the Ardendo company, the software manufacturer is now showing the technical side, the integration into the Vizrt product range, for the first time at NAB. Ardendo expands Vizrt’s real-time 3D and motion-graphics system with a content-management and playout system. Ardendo is responsible for controlling the ingest, which stores all video and audio data on a central server and manages it together with metadata in a database. From this database, the user can create playout lists in which video clips and virtual clips from Vizrt can be combined.
The connection to the central database enables content changes up to the last second. Ardendo also takes over copying the final video data to the respective playout computers and ensures clean playout. This means that Vizrt can now offer complete channel management from ingest to playout.
