American broadcast specialist Harris has acquired Aastra Digital Video of Bridgewater, New Jersey, from parent company Aastra Technologies Limited.
The company, with its 35 employees, specializes in video networking, encoding and decoding, as well as multiplexing technologies for the television and telecommunications sector.
Its most important product is VideoRunner, a multi-service video networking system. Aastra Digital Video has already been a supplier to Harris for eight years, which markets the products under the names Flexicoder and NetVX.
