Munich-based specialist in non-destructive grading systems Iridas used the Cine Gear Expo trade show in Los Angeles to present SpeedGrade OnSet 2006. The new version of the software for designing film looks offers an easier-to-use interface and expanded functions for collaboration with other software.
Cinematographers are intended to use the uncluttered user interface to quickly and intuitively develop looks on individual images, which the system then saves in the .Look format. Color-corrected images can also be saved as DPX files.
SpeedGrade OnSet 2006 also exports looks in a large number of third-party look-up table formats, including products from S.Two, FilmLight, and Blackmagic Design.
SpeedGrade OnSet 2006 can be connected to other Iridas products such as SpeedGrade and FrameCycler to achieve a complete, interactive color workflow from pre-production to finishing.
