NEC Display Solutions has introduced the 21-inch MultiSync LCD2190UXp, a professional monitor designed for CAD/CAM, DTP and broadcast applications. Its S-PVA panel uses a recommended resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. NEC specifies an 8 ms response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles without colour shift.
Automatic black-level adjustment provides individual control of greyscale images. RapidResponse overdrive supports the 8 ms grey-to-grey response time for moving images, positioning the display for 3D work and video.
An integrated AmbiBright sensor measures ambient light and automatically adjusts brightness. AutoBright separately regulates brightness according to whether displayed content is light or dark.
Manual settings use a new on-screen display. L-shaped controls work in portrait and landscape orientation, with both the OSD and its KeyGuide adapting automatically. NaViSet permits adjustment of all image parameters with mouse and keyboard, while NaViSet Administrator supports control over a network.
The display offers 150 mm of height adjustment, tilt and almost 360 degrees of swivel. Its cable-managed stand can be removed without tools for wall mounting.
The MultiSync LCD2190UXp is available in white with a silver bezel or in black for €1,069.
