Di-O-Matics software LipSync specialises in the lip animation of Flash characters. On the basis of an audio file, it animates the character’s lips in accordance with the spoken text. According to the manufacturer, LipSync supports almost all the languages in the world.

The update to version 2 initially brings several improvements to the workflow, so that the animation now runs on a vector basis from start to finish.

The other improvements include the import of MP3 files, the import of SWF files as a “viseme” with transparencies and an unlimited number of frames per second.

For export, LipSync MX 2 offers expanded setting options. It can generate SWF files that are ready for use directly in Flash without post-processing and also supports streamed sound in exported SWF files.

LipSync MX is available for 99 dollars in the manufacturer’s online shop.

A demo version is also available.
